Im no stranger to Factor55 and the awesome recovery gear they offer so when I decided to outfit my Polaris RZR “Re-Build” I dubbed #XP3 I knew exactly how I wanted it setup. The UltraHook was designed out of necessity, recovering vehicles by winch can be dangerous and if done incorrectly can result in loss of life. Claimed as the “Worlds safest winch hook” the finger grip design promotes proper hook orientation, UP. Sounds like the perfect hook for a family friendly adventure mobile.

Opening the box I was not disappointed. The quality in build and finish is unmatched. Machined from billet aluminum with an anodized finish the UltraHook feels amazing and looks even better. Immediately you start to notice all the little details such as the locking pin stored in the body of the hook. This pin can be removed and used to “lock” the latch in place. The hook also features a 3/4″ shackle mount if desired.

Ive seen these hooks used in the most brutal environments including the world famous King Of The Hammers so I KNOW the real world abuse they are capable of receiving and doubt that I will be able to put them through that level of testing however I am excited to get some real world personal use and I will be reporting back with an in depth review. For now I absolutely LOVE the way it looks up front and would highly recommend Factor55 for all your recovery needs.

Recently the family and I headed to Moab, Utah for the Rally On the Rocks event. Its an event similar to the famous Easter Jeep Safari only this event caters to the UTV industry.
